Definitely very early 1950s (this model was replaced about 1954), definitely a Ford, definitely in need of some tlc. Colours spot-on - well done.

"Needs a Polish" was a true gem. I do love old cars, have one myself, but it's also so sad that nobody has continued to love this one. Lord Montague might be interested then.
