Although I havenít had the opportunity to identify this Butterfly I was fascinated how nature produces such amazing patterns on these most delicate of insects

Agreed!..This one has more fine detail than most other butterflies. Has a smooth fine quality and is on the best possible colour BG. TG

Its a Golden Pansy. You've caught it beautifully.

Looking at the shadow I think this photo has been rotated 180 deg. I think I would leave it facing downwards, as the shadow is a bit of a giveaway. I also feel it has been slightly over sharpened in a few places, as I can see a few telltale white 'grainy' bits. Of course this is just personal opinion and probably just me! Smile
