Quote:Ditch the riple effect and perhaps apply a little soft focus

Very much agree with this! Beautiful photo though. V2 is a little dark looking but could just be the laptop. Lovely moment to have captured and I hope the proud parents are delighted with it.

  • Lumps and Bumps

Loving these shots. The b&w just gives it a boost though, creates a nice contrast and shadows. Nice lighting in the colour version though, lovely tones.

I feel like giving you the lecture anyway.. hope you've copped on a bit and given up the cigarettes. Anyway hope you're on the way to getting better.

Like this shot...nice and creepy for hallowe'en. Some of the text in v2 is a bit difficult to read but its really nice though.

You eyeing up her curves? haha...does your wife know about this!? Nice set of shots here, crop is a little tight but it doesn't take from the image. Some really lovely and well-composed shots of late.

Cuteness overload! They're lovely pups and a nice set of shots too. Aidan should definitely appreciate them!

You definitely have a lovely girlfriend if she got you such a great present! *cough cough*

I like this shot, very good for the first trip out with the macro. The rock adds a very nice backdrop for this, nice texture. Only negative thing I can say is I don't like the border that much, otherwise a very good shot.

  • Slade Harbour

Nice lead in with the foreground, though its a pity its not a bit nicer to look at. Maybe a lower angle would have worked better with this one and maybe a bit to the left to give more of a view of the opening out to sea. Colors could be more vibrant but I could be wrong as I'm looking at it on one of the monitors in college. Like the traces of green too...adds a splash of colour to the foreground.

  • Pig and her tongue!

Thanks for the PM, was definitely worth checking out. A really great shot, kinda cheeky too witth the tongue stuck out! Such a lovely dog. I really like the lighting in both versions, its spot on! Even more impressive with a darker coloured dog. Really great portrait!

Teehee I love this guy! Some really nice shots from the zoo! Love the texture in his hair (better when seen large!) I like how you broke the rule of composition by having him on one side on the frame but facing out of the shot...it works here cos it looks like he's being secretive...keeping the flower to himself!

Very nice shot and pretty damn good for handheld...I'm impressed Mr. Ridgeway. Works better without the reflections.

  • Cold - V2

Definitely works much better in mono. Still think she looks a bit more scared than cold but either way it's a lovely portrait and a great first upload! (And second too I guess!)

  • The Last Watchtower

Really love this, works even better large and also the b&w version. I agree with Dougie, there is an eerieness to this photo but it makes for a beautiful haunting image. I really like the colours in this too though they looked nicer in the large version you sent me.

  • Cold

Have to agree with the previous comments, a lovely portrait but would look better in b&w, looking forward to seeing tomorrow's upload. Like the crop on this.

I like the border on this and the effect is nice, very old-time looking. Might work well in a sepia tone too.

  • Contrast.

I really like this...all thats missing is a nice fire burning and someone curled up reading by it. Good contrast though and exposure too.

Nice set of shots. Like V3 just because it's different, love the tones in V4 and the square crop, good point in V5, never like when animals are caged or tied up just so people can come stare at them.....(and take photos...).
