Just a touch of burnout on some of the petals....always difficult to judge the exposure in sunshine.

Really needs to be seen in large format to do it justice. Great detail and depth of colour on the yellows, albeit some burnout. Nice one Stewart.

Hi Colin and thank you. There is actually detail in the bright areas where the sun has been reflected. I zoomed the original up to have a look.

Lovely shot of those flowers in their natural setting and light. Love the dark background that gives the flowers a perfect atmosphere.

This is so beautiful Stewart It is A Rhodedendron Lu teum . I saw masses of it growing wild in Turkey . Brought a 2lb jar of the Honey back home with me.
The story goes that the raiding Army ( forget which one) loved the honey so much and ate so much of it that they were all to be found with their trousers down behind bushes and so lost the battle . Not a lot of people know that LOL x
