Fox

By Dennis.Alden
After 90 minutes sitting in a bush, freezing my backside off and getting rained on and wondering why I do such stupid things the sun came out and I had 60 seconds of magic when this fella(?) trotted into view. He/she could obviously hear the camera shutter, looked hard for a few seconds and then slipped away. Still can't believe my luck!

Does a real wildlife shot get much better, well I think it could do the the fur being saturated a little bit more. But other than that it's a cracking wildlife shot, well worth getting wet and cold for methinks....

Excellent capture. I'd just love to photograph a fox, but I don't know where they live.

Thanks everybody. I'm still on cloud nine from seeing this fox. I have staked out the location for nearly a year now - photographing anything that happened along - usually rabbits and squirrels. I knew that there was a fox in the locality as I often smelt his scent and i caught a fleeting glance of him a few months ago.

Like you hawk I've always wanted to photograph a wild fox - but didn't know where to start looking - I just persevered - and it paid off - so keep trying Smile all those hours of boredom and discomfort will eventually pay off.

ps - the stoats I've seen there are the next objective
