Eurasian Jay (Garrulus glandarius)

By DerekL
Thank you for your response to my previous upload of a Bullfinch, especially to Ron (Maiwand) for his valued User Award, all much appreciated.
Here are some more Jay images, that I took today on Cannock Chase.
This poor bird seem to have had problems for some reason, as the centre claw is missing on It's right leg and the left leg cannot be opened. Doesn't stop it eating loads of nuts though.
Light was quite dim. These were all taken in the open (no hide), about 11 yards away.

Seems like a minor injury of some kind. Sad
Apart of this, the bird looks fine, with nice feathers.

A fine capture of this most elusive of Birds. Poor fella, but at least he's eating which is a good sign

Your jay is so well designed. Jays elsewhere not so much. All three of these are super. TG
