Link away. I'm here to help. You know there is an old Buddhist saying that goes "Share your knowledge. It's a way to achieve immortality". Photography has been my life and there are a lot of hobbyists out there who can only dream of having a career like mine. Looking at this gallery of pussy cat pictures I realise I will have my work cut out knocking you lot into shape, but I am prepared to give it a go.

Marvellous to see you. Your site has been an inspiration to me, and I can safely say my photography has improved exponentially since stumbling across it.

And this image - so simple, and yet so utterly profound. Can I be so bold as to suggest you enter it for next year's Schweppes Portraiture Prize ...

Nice to see you Mr Pye - Sir!

Cant help feeling that you are already known to this community in a guise used to obscure your professional identity in an attempt to protect the sensibilities of those who can only aspire to reach your total command of the art.

Now that you have decided to join us in your professional capacity, I hope we can rely on you to impart many pearls of wisdom and guide us less fortunate mortals to enlightenment in your mastery of the many photographic arts.

I for one would like to see you submit a Professional Portfolio to the site, giving us a true benchmark to aim for.

No problem - a self portrait is one of the hardest shots to pull off. I think only me, Rembrandt and Edvard Munch have successfully mastered this. And they're painters so it's kind of cheating.

Not sure that having a heart attack during the shoot was a good idea, but like the silver tipped symbollically placedphallic cane there, Derek.

We are not worthy...but welcome.

Your ability to see the shot and take it where others dare not tread is evident in this self-portrait. Who else would subtly include the necessary (for the protection of your magnificent, yet understated jewels) guard dog in the background, by placing him partly in shade, you have in one stroke reduced his overall presence and yet still allowed him to be a threat.

Some sort of joke I assume as I haven't seen so much brown nosing since Tony Blair met George Bush.

Come on Derek ... this image really is below your ability. I would love to see a tasteful PS floral border or some delightful sepia toning and maybe a starburst filter effect coming off one of the sovereign rings.

Hi again Derek, I am sure Kate Moss and Pete Doherty are pestering you to capture their wedding in your own inimitable and copyrighted style ... will you be accepting this commission and if so what package are they going for ?? It maybe a relief to do a wedding where the bride and groom will be off their t*ts too much to notice your flexible approach to time-keeping. Take care mate. Regards, Paul.
