Dad's Best Friend (3)

By SurreyHillsMan
Better viewed “Large” if you’ve time

OK please bear with me.. my third attempt… and still not 100% happy..

I’d have liked to have got both legs and the tail sharp..
AND I wish he was a bit fatter..
AND singing…
AND if not singing then it would be nice if he had a worm in his mouth
AND as it was raining it would have been nice to have caught a couple of rain drops on his back

Those who missed my first two attempts…. This is my late dear old Dad’s garden fork handle… as a nipper I used to watch him dig up the spuds with it and feed the Robins worms… I rescued it from his shed and have had it set up with a feeder in my back garden
For you again… again Dad!
Thanks for looking and the cc’s on yesterdays “Marilyn”

Fabulous capture Jon, but then I loved the other two as well. Must admit that this one is perfection for me (in spite of "one leg and tail not as sharp as you would like" and "too thin, not singing, no worm or raindrops LOL). Very well-deserved awards - they speak for themselves - many congratulations Smile

Happy Memories, and thanks for sharing. My dad also used to dig the garden but he fed a blackbird the worms. Whenever Dad was out in the garden digging, there was Mr Blackbird waiting patiently!
