Hi all. Had a break at the composition but back at them now and this is the latest one.
Squadron 98 is flying over France in 1942 on a dangerous mission. They are bombing a weapons factory in Northern France. They have done there bombing run and are now flying home. One aircraft has had a canon strike on the engine and has stopped working and is running on one engine. These B-25s are in the RAF in 98 Squadron. The name of the photo is the motto of the Squadron 'Never Failing'.
The Squadron was first formed in August 1917 to March 1919 and then was disbanded. It was reformed in 1936 and and disbanded in 1941 and was reformed in 1942 and disbanded again in 1957 and reformed for a final time in 1959 and is now disbanded in 1976 and is not around any more. The Squadron flew lots of different aircraft they flew
