Twisted tree

Taken while on one of many National parks in Donegal. This hole County is a photographers dream, sadly the weather is never to kind. More rainfall than any other County in Ireland.I stopped and took this shot because of the gnarled nature of the tree. Hope you enjoy, thanks for looking...

Although the shape of the tree is unusual it doesn't quite come across in the photo. As a general shot of the tree it's fine but it's sadly nothing more than that.

For a picture of a tree to do well on this site, it needs to be tall and majestic, with possibly a dramatic sky and nothing to distract your eye.

It's hard to know would you could have done to improve this picture apart from try a different angle. If you recall I walked past it as I didn't quite find it interesting enough, and as you mentioned the light didn't do you any favours either.
