WOW you really are enjoying this night photography stuff and doing a damn fine job while at it.

this is a beautiful photograph - i love the mood, the depth and the lack of colour works well too - im seeing visuals of escher too but im a bit mad

it is fascinating seeing the results of your long exposure experiments and i am definitely inspired to try it myself asap Grin

keep the beauty flowing Grin

thanks Ty Rende

and Peter thanks for saying so, yes go have a go, it is very calming shooting at night and I love the challenge of getting light out of the dark the most

I wanted to go shoot tonight but had to settle for an edit on one from last month

so thanks

Patrick Smith did something similar, both shots are unbelievably amazing. You continue to push the boundaries and redefine them.

thanks pepes,

Tim it is quite a scary place to be, apparently haunted, with birds flying round when I shone the torch to lightpaint it (but thats half the fun)

lmgc I did use a tripod, till the rapidly incoming tide got too close Wink

thanks John linky me Patrick Smith please if he is copying me lol

BreadandShutter and leave my cam on the beach? I dont think so.....but nice thought hey ?

Took me awhile, Diana, my marginal brains eventually did figure it out---

Patrick Smith--- I would love to copy him-- ( not likely)

Thanks for the brain exercise!

oops sorry Jennn, it is an old Victorian pier ..famous because it has been left to rot after it burned down a couple of times now I think

so the two front structures are the legs that held the boardwalk to the part of the pier at the bottom and the other bits are just the remains sitting in the sea

it really is quite an eerie place to be at night, it is said to be haunted, and it felt like it too

thanks all

I like the skewed angle of view. A strong composition that seems to reinforce the idea of things disconnected.

hi Diana, this is a stunning composition and is really well thought out. helen

hya, thanks for the comments I like that you find it both beautiful and scarey and of things disconnected and skewed is nice for me to be able to get meaning across like this in just one image and for it to be appreciated in the way it was intended

so thanks for that
