The water capture is a very powerful element in this image for me Dave - great tones, and suitably moody sky.
The characters, house and jellyfish(?) as a surreal quality to the image, with the swastika symbolism adding a dark twist.
Excellent production.

At first glance it reminded me of the H.G Wells tale The Country of the Blind......but looking closer I feel a few different emotions...the more you look the more you see. I know I have said this before to you.

Great image and title. The colours really make the mood and give atmosphere to this imaginative piece of Work.

A wonderful landscape, fluid and fixed, full of contradictions and curious goings on.
Wonderful to see but I wouldn't want to live there. Smile

Waves of War:

A tide of terror washing over everything, and everyone. Jellyfish shelters are too fragile to hide under, and easy for monsters to shred apart.

Only those as strong as hard granite will survive and not be affected.

The chief monster (Hitler?) lords over and watches fascinated and proud of his destructive works.

***********

My mother, who is now 92, has throughout the years shared stories of the WWII years in Norway - several in my family were in the Resistance, but I never found out until one of them was in nursing care (he had dementia) and he told me his strategic plans of how they smuggled people over the mountains........

I should stop being worried about how I interpret stuff, and just go with what I see. This is what I thought when first presented with this image.

And no, you should never tell what was in your mind when you created your images - half the joy is in reading what others experience and see in them.

Off to buy some sweet bubbly wine for the New Year's festivites - may you celebrate well, and see you in 2013. Godt Nytt År.

Thanks who looked !

Im still not convinced about that top jellyfish size, but It was constructed after a few Stellas as the music took over and pounded brains that night.

Stellas are good and help boost the imagination, and music is an added bonus - I have just educated myself on the true meaning of the "swastica" and would make an entirely different comment on this image. This proves I am still not too old to learn....................

May the force be with you.

Well, now.
Have looked at most of your images. Stunning all the way. And very artful.
Not exactly my cup of tea - but yeah, I don't drink so much tea anyway.
All in all: creative, imaginative, powerful, meaningful. Hats off!
