Got my first camera (a Cybershot) four years ago and used that until June last year. I suddenly found I wanted to do more photography and the turning point to go to dSLR was in Prague last year when I wanted to focus on the city below and not the trees in the foreground!
I'd bemused people with my love of taking photos of insects, spiders etc with the point and click and now find myself most especially interested in macro photography.
I bought myself a D40X kit last year and recently upgraded to a D300. So much to learn about photography and I find that I really don't have an eye for landscape as much as I try!
ePhotozone seems such a warm and friendly place with so much encouragement from people which I do like.
