Snow in April 2

By DicksPics
Taken from Ridgehill Wood in Kingswinford - ashamedly not during the last week or so!
I have been experimenting with some 'creative blur' techniques care of The Photographer's Guide to Photoshop MagBook!
Thought I'd upload this one to see what EPZers' think of my efforts - please offer critiques folks and suggestions for improvements!!
V2 is the unprocessed original.
Thank you for viewing this effort and thanks to all who commented and voted on my Griffon Vulture 2 upload.

I also prefer the original. The effect falls like voile drapery over origina and obscures the lovely details. That's how I see it, ****. Someone else might see it differently, of course.

V2 is very nice and crisp but I like V1, it looks very atmospheric.

Very nice V2. I agree with Elena, V1 looks very atmospheric. But if the "Blur" covers the whole picture, I think that would be even more atmospheric

V2 is a fantastic image ****. V1 whilst quite nice I think I would have preferred it covering all the image. Not ever having done this I would be the last to give opinions on it

I felt that V1. was a bit like looking through a net curtain ****, V2. by far the most appealing of the two, I'm not sure where you could go from there, frosted glass no idea what the range is, it is good to experiment as far as I'm concerned I do it most times, so I say carry on and see what you develop, regards Leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Thanks for all comments, folks and for Leon's encouragement - I'm not(and never was, really!!) totally sure I picked the right original here for this type of processing(motion blur in PS) but, it is good to try new things out!
I think a picture with more verticals may be better - let's see!
Thanks again,

I think I prefer the clarity and crispness of the original, ****: V 1 shows a lot less contrast too which is so typical of a snow scene under a blue sky and sunshine.
But the technique is worth pursuing, perhaps with a different choice of subject........eg. even the same scene but captured under a grey sky and with snow still falling.
However, that's just my opinion for what it's worth.

I like what you did ****; you added some mystery and atmosphere to it that makes the image more involving to me.
