Bluebells in Shrawley Woods

By DicksPics
Today's upload is an ICM image taken in Shrawley Woods near Stourport-on-Severn in the Wyre Forest District of North Worcestershire.

It's not a technique I've used before and I was quite pleased with this effort.

In future, I will use a longer focal length lens to attempt to maintain the vertical lines as I have had to correct the distortion(the opposite of the 'fish eye' effect) at the ends of the original image. I did move the camera in a slightly arced way so, maybe a more vertical movement would be better. If anyone has any hints or tips on ICM, I would be most grateful.

Many thanks for all responses to my '1929 Rolls Royce New Phantom' upload and, especially, to Ju(JuBarney) for her award - all very much appreciated, as always.

I hope you have a good day.

IMHO this works really well Richard. Has a 'painterly feel' and abstract but you can discern the subject.

Award time!

Abstract but recognisable, it works for me.
A lot depends on the speed of movement and the shutter speed chosen. Sometimes more or less blur gives a successful result, depending on the scene. Wide angles can get too much in as you move. Movemenmt is more pronounced with longer lenses.
Simple compositions work best, or are at least easier to make something of.
Just take time to experiment.

Now for something completely different, but well handled and processed, giving an interesting result. Something I will have to try out! A good end result, Richard.

Not something I've tried for a while. Really needs to be done with the camera on a tripod to get the verticals vertical, and as you say with a longer focal length lens. it's a great effort, Richard, and love it's 'arty' feel 😃👍🏻👍🏻
