Bamburgh Castle

By DiegoDesigns
Shot this on my first and so far only trip to Northumberland. I loved the place (Northumberland) and would love to go back. I only went to the 'tourist' spots, as I think you need 'local knowledge' to get the best out of a visit to somewhere unfamiliar. Have 'tweaked' this somewhat, so see what you think.

Lovely presentation of a castle that has more than it's fair share of pictures taken - this one however stands out - very nice interpretation PhilG

It is a nice shot of the castle and the light and colours look fine too. I am not sure if you have used a flood filter on this. The water appears somewhat detached somehow from the rest of the image. IMO.
I like your crop of it ans a great sky to boot.
Well done on your first visit to Northumberland. Hope you go back there for more adventures and good photography.

Lovely shot, I don't think I have ever seen a photo of the castle from that angle before.

Many thanks for all the great feedback on this one. I wasn't sure about the filter, but I thought it was an improvement on the raw sand. You have to try these things out from time to time. Thanks again all.

It looks good over the water from this angle Dave...the reflected colours add to the beauty caqptured.

Good interesting image and I think you have managed to get the pic which is different from the norm. Northumberland is a phographers paradise with a most beautiful coastline and superb rolling hills inland.I hope you enjoyed your visit.
