The re-work has certainly added a lot more atmosphere to the image Dave. Love the sky and the birds around the tower, though I'm not so sure about the larger forgeround bird. Have you tried the image without it or maybe with a smaller size?

A vast improvement on the original. Evidently your craft has come on somewhat since your first attempt.

Many thanks for the clicks and words on this one. I know what you mean Dave, I may have another look, although I felt the larger size helped to reinforce the closeness of this bird, which is supposed to have been startled by the onlooker! Cheers all... Dave

Love it, great work. I am really in awe of the skill that it must take to put something like this together.

I think the foreground bird works, and was originally thinking that it should be a crow (rather than what it appears to be; a pigeon). Then I got to thinking that perhaps this is a 'light' picture rather than a 'dark' one (if you catch my drift) and therefore fine as it is (because that foreground bird could equally be a dove, which is much more 'romantic')!

colours and atmosphere excellent

not sure about the big bird,
i think it would work better without it
as its a bit dominant,
don't really want my eye to be so focused

I always enjoy it when you take flight. Smile An entertaining image with the colours adding so much to that bruised atmosphere.

Some might see this as a nightmare! This is very imaginative and expertly creative. Well done!

Thank you all very much for the great support you've given to this piece. It seems opinion is divided about the bird though. I guess the bird represents the dreams I referenced in the title and really it was about having them and trying to realise them whilst you're able. I'm most grateful for all the kind comments and clicks, cheers all... Dave

A well worked piece Dave.
Re bird - I think it would need a comparison to be really sure whether a smaller version of the bird would be better. I like 'as is'
