Morning Has Broken

By DiegoDesigns
"Morning Has Broken" is a popular and well-known Christian hymn first published in 1931. It's words are by English author Eleanor Farjeon and it is set to a traditional Gaelic tune known as "Bunessan" Probably these days, it's better known as a song popularised by Cat Stevens and included on his 'Teaser and the Firecat' album in 1971 (Seems a long time ago now!). Apparently the memorable piano section on that album was performed by none other than Rick Wakeman of 'Yes' fame.

Anywho, enough of miscellany, this was taken at Old Bowlish House when they had their open day a few weeks ago. Hope you approve of the treatment and that you enjoy a peaceful weekend. Thanks for looking and all comments are very welcome.

Just had a conversation in the pub about Cat Stevens, a formidable talent in my opinion, as is Rick Wakeman. All these years later I still think Yes were a wonderful band and I dont care that the lyrics didn't make bit of sense. A lovely shot Dave of a room I could happily live in.

I couldn't agree more Clive, their music is still as fresh and contemporary today as it ever was. Thanks for the support everyone, I know this was never going to set the world on fire, but as a room in a magnificent house I enjoyed being there. Cheers all... Dave

The floorboards were not only very long, but they were very wide too - must have come from some enormous trees. Pleased you liked it Ollie, thanks a lot... Dave
