What light through yonder...

By DiegoDesigns
No sign of Juliet though! But here is the Georgian House in Bristol, which is an 18th century, six storey townhouse that has been restored and decorated to its original glory.

The house was built in 1790 for John Pinney, a wealthy slave plantation owner and sugar merchant, it was also where the enslaved African, Pero lived. It is laid out as it might have looked in the 18th century and provides a really interesting insight into life during that troubled period - what's more it's FREE!!

Beautifully captured - I can imagine a little child clutching a teddy sitting just in the light at the top of the stairs - very atmospheric.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I guess this was always going to have limited appeal, but I was rather taken with the shapes and the tones. Cheers all... Dave
