...when you have the time and weather to sit quietly in the garden for a couple of hours and see what turns up.
This little field mouse(?) is obviously living in the corner of our garden designated the 'wild area'. Other than pulling ugly weeds we leave it for the aquilaegea, rhododendrons, foxgloves and various other plants to do what they like.
I spotted him taking advantage of the seeds dropped from the feeder above, he had obviously decided it was worth the risk of venturing out from his shelter for a few seconds at a time.
