Christmas Burger

By NevP
Mini Burger opening one of her many gifts on Christmas morning.
The sun was blazing in through our South facing living room window so I propped a large reflector behind me against the sofa to avoid using flash.
This was shot in jpeg mode (Mistake in setting up) using a Canon G9 which we bought to shoot the Mini Burger with. It's different from a Nikon D2Xs but initial impressions are very promising.
Hope you like it, make it a great day. Smile

Although shot in jpeg, this has still got the NevP signature processing look about it which, to be honest, I generally like...apart from this one. The processing just lacks any affinity for the subject matter.

I hope that you're not a one trick pony with one certain look, although some successful photographers have got away with the same business model.

I live in hope.

Thanks guys!
Boyd - I don't think I'm a one trick pony - the stuff that I post here generally tends to be personal stuff, or where I'm trying out a diferent technique or something. This is really to put up a shot with the G9. It's a family album type shot so I applied some elements of processing to try to get away from that a little bit. It probably won't stay here. Many thanks for your considered observations, it's much appreciated. Smile
Jennn - good eyes - it's a Hanna Anderson package, they do great kids stuff.
Thanks again guys.

Looks good to me, love how you caught the child's curiosity and how the mothers outreached arm adds overall depth to the scene. Nice work, Spot on! Click!!!

Very very nice Nev. Beautiful detail and subtle treatment. The concentration in their faces is wonderful. I am tempted by the G9 for the same purpose. Cheers, Bert

I love this shot Nev,The angle and compostion are super as is the dimension of hand at package to the babies foot. Brilliant for me! good to see what the G9 can do as well. Don't take it down, that would be a shame!

excellent tonal range, strong comp and the jpeg 'mistake' doesn't seem to have made the image suffer at all
