Sorry it's been so long since my last upload. My computer crashed on me and I've lost most of my source photos. Very frustrating as I got CS as an early Christmas present and had nothing to work on...

But I found this one from last year to work on. I found this hanging from the eaves of my house. The cut-off one on the right extended another two feet past this, so I went with a portrait orientation to try and balance the shot.

I'd crop out the bottom, to lose the sun into the frame. click

I think the sun is best left in! Great shot portraying those rare sunny winter days.

Excellent shot. I think the sun makes it.

Did I say portrait? I meant landscape. Thanks everyone. I like the sun too, but I get what Hermin's saying about showing less of it. I can't wait until after Christmas when I can afford to sign up for E2 so that people can run loose...

Thanks to those of you who have clicked, and especially commented.

I think it's great as it is too. Love the little drips off some of the icicles.

great colour. IMO i would crop out half the sun, so that it isn't so blinding - and draws the eye further up to the icicles. Great photo. click

Blinding's right! I had a headache after this session! Thanks. I've just tried that crop, and I do agree. I'll consider a bigger repost with it once I've upgraded my membership in a couple of weeks.

Like this, although Hermin's suggestion also works well.
