Someday My Prince Will Come..

By WhiteRose1
Many thanks to Helen (Helenlinda) and Malcolm (Saltireblue) for their UAs on my Webb Bridge and to all those that voted/commented/clicked, most appreciated.

This is a young Nepalese girl wondering why a group of Westerners were walking through her village in the foothills of the Himalayas miles from anywhere! The thought did cross my mind as well!

An extremely hard hitting and emotive image, which certainly provides us with a huge slice of reality. The eyes in the young girls face seem to some up what I am trying to say. Certainly an image which will tug at the toughest of heart strings.

Thank you for sharing this image.

Excellent composition, love the expression captured,
Fred.
I am mad on old windows and this ranks very high if not the best I have seen. The colours and texture are out of this world.
Well...well...well done. WesternRed.

A very well composed image Dave- she looks very comfortable there - probably a position she sits in to gaze at what is going on outside regularly.
Like your title, and although she may well not know the tune, its buzzing round my head now WinkWink
Great textures and colours - but I can't work out what is top right

A professionally rendered image that has everything from pathos of the little girls situation to the strong composition and tones of the window forming a natural frame.
Add the incongruity of the electric light bulb and you have the epitomy of a thought provoking image that deserves all the accolades it will undoubtedly receive.

My vote for the image and congratulations.. but if i might say i did not like the title.. it might not be your intention here, but the title is somehow ridiculing this little girl of the poorest of families.. it is amply clear that prince is a far thing.. all she must be caring about is food twice a day.. again, excuse me.
