I took this photo outside one of the dorms on the campus of Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey, USA. Princeton is one of a group of colleges called the Ivy League colleges. These are all private colleges, which in the US means they are not supported by the State Governments. I love the architecture on the campus and had taken many photos there a few years ago with my old camera. I didn't really like any of them so I never posted any. Now that I am using the Nikon D200 I can capture photos I never could before. I have also, with the help of my mentor and FAR, developed a better sense of composition - at least I hope I have. This photo was taken in between intermittent showers. I loved the way the light hit the bricks and the carvings. The grass between the bricks is so green because we were having a lot of rain and hot weather at the time.

Taken with a Nikon D200, 18-70 mm lens, used a tripod, camera set to more vivid, f/4.5, 1/250, ISO 100, focal length 60 mm
