Alstroemeria in the dark

By DolphinLady
I'm not too sure about this one, but what the heck, here it is for you to tell me what you think.
Taken in a darkened room with tissue paper over the light to try to make it softer.
I think maybe I concentrated too much on the flower & forgot the lovely shape & colour of the stem & leaves.
Anyway, I hope you like it & will be kind to me with your critique....not too kind or I won't get it right the next time........

Thank you for your lovely response to my last upload of my unknown Rose.
I think I may have found out which one it is, just got to get it certified.....

I hope you are all well.
Take care,
Hilary (*.*)x

You'll get it right next time quite simply because you got it right this time!! Perfectly focused, the details and shape of the leaves and stem are still there. The diagonal format works so well. Lovely presentation. What's to fault?

The light catching the leaves is particularly effective. Soft, but there's enough to create shadow.

The light catching the leaves is what struck me first. No doubt it is an optical illusion, but the illumination on the outstretched leaf varies according to its position on the screen! Overall this is a beautiful image with plenty of space for the flower to breathe.

The slightly more than a hint of foliage set this off quite nicely-- beautifully enhanced by the darkness!

What...a...BEAUT. Hilary, first off, lovely pose. Second off, you've taken out just the right amount of light. Any more and you would've had burnout of the whites. So glad you included those leaves too. I like the way they're 'presenting' the flowers! Like "Ta-daaaa"...
