Dwarf Yellow Dahlias.

By DolphinLady
Found this in my archives so thought I would give it a showing.
I remember taking this one morning after a night of rain & at the time the sea mist was rolling in pretty quickly.

Apart from contrast & unsharp mask, I have left it just as it was with a half eaten petal on the left hand side & the leaves are rather slug eaten, but that is nature.

Hope you enjoy looking.

Thank you for your votes & comments on my last upload, you are all very kind.

The lighting you describe sounds dull and overeats which I feel is the best lighting for many flowers, esp. those of a lighter colour as here with these dahlias.
Lovely shot, the yellow standing out so well against the darker green foliage.
Just a pity the topmost petals are clipped but that apart a most satisfactory presentation, Hilary.

A lovely presentation, Hilary, this year seems to be a good one for dahlias, judging by the number that are appearing on ePZ Smile Carol

Really pretty. Dahlias seem to be irresistible to slugs!
