Purple Dahlia

By DolphinLady
This is to show you that I do have different colour dahlias. I know I went a bit mad over the deep red one, but it is beauitiful.....now I'm hooked on this purple one but will try not to overdo it this time.....can you see the little bug???

V2 is the white dahlia...I am rather disappointed with the result....the white looks a bit drab.

V3 is the mini sunflower, it's only 2ft high.

V4 is a close up on a begonia

V5 is the centre of a red dahlia.

Hope you enjoy looking & any advice on how to improve white would be much appreciated.........thank you.

Yes, V 5 is the Begonia and a flower I always have difficulty capturing, esp. for petal texture, but your V 1 is my favourite and well deserving of it's lead spot. Lovely admixture of light and shade and excellent detail.

Such a lovely bouquet from your garden, Hilary Smile

By the way, I don't think the white one looks drab. I think it's just a wee bit underexposed, s'all Smile

V1 is definitely my favourite with that little spider but a close second is that lush frame-filler in V4.
