Light over Kyle of Loch Alsh

By DonnaN
One of the first shots taken with my camera (Panasonic Limix DMX FZ8).

I thought this was such a peaceful place and I was trying to capture the tranquility and the calming effect it had on me.

I really am just starting out and still getting to grips with my camera and my editing software (Corela Paintshop Pro X2 Ultimate). I know I have loads to learn! So any comments (good and bad) are very gratefully received!

Nice shot, especially for a first try. A few tweaks - when taking the shot and when editing (techniques you can learn easily enough) - could've improved it a little. But you've obviously got a good eye for a good atmospheric image - thats the most important thing.

Hi Donna, What you really need to do with this picture is. . . . . . . Frame it and hang it somewhere where everyone can see it! It is a great shot. Well done. Best regards. JMB

Wonderful tonal range to this Donna, if you are using a plug in program try to straighten the horizon,if you scroll up to the top of the water and look to the left you will see what I mean. Water will always be level where ever you are so it's a good starting point in your pic.......Bev
