  • Burnished Brass Moth

Thanks Mike, I actually like the pano touch and I have quite a few more, though don't know when i'll get the chance to upload them. Your right about the bg, I had darkened it considerably and thought it would add some perspective and sense of environment. But I do agree with you, if I could have added versions I might have either stretched that area out, or burnt the edges in and uploaded them too.
Thanks for your comment too Karen and again your also right, trouble is it is always a very subjective matter how an image looks. I actually like the knot as to me it gives some balance and a natural stop when reading right to left. Plus it is a bit of extra interest that doesn't dtract from the moth and I like the way the moth seems to be contemplating what is in front of it.
Of course this all subjective and it is great to hear other peoples comments and views.

    Kind regards, Rod

  • Moth Plumage

Very nice 20 plumed moth, very common of course as are most of them, but I like the way you have done this, on glass I presumeThanks for the comments too.

  • close up of flower

Hi Christine thanks for your kind comments on my image and looks like you've raised a bit of interest with this shot too. It's a cracking detailed shot and nicely diffused darkened background. Just one comment and of course this is subjective, perhaps the angle could have run from bottom left diagonal to top right diagonal. just to give it that bit more energy and a more natural lead for the eye. Hope that is useful.
    Kind regards, Rod

  • The Shower

Mono is the stronger of the two. Maybe increase the contrast a little just to boost it a bit.

  • Cracking gallery of superb detailed shots, particularly of our avian friends. You have so many great shots I wonder if you have a hide that you use, your own or locally or and perhaps you bait them. However you do it you have a superb collection and portfolio.
