Looking towards 'Catbells', which I think is on the left, this is a view from a ridge overlooking Ullswater. Found it interesting photography in the lake district. I am used to flat countryside here in East Anglia and sun setting behind a mountain leaving the valley I am photographing in darkness was difficult for me to visualise. I therefore shot most of my inland landscapes in the afternoon or morning when there was still sun in the sky. This has a 0.9ND grad on and involved a long wait for the sunlight to play along the mountainside.
