Waiting ...

By Nick_w
A big thanks for the GEA and all the user awards on the last image it was really appreciated Smile

OK, last from New York for a while, there are others, just want to give some thought on how I want to process them.

This is the classic Grand Central Station. I was intriqued when I viewed the image about the young woman in front of the clock, completely motionless for 1.6 seconds, is she waiting for a date, has she been stood up? And before you ask, yes Dave she was there, and not added later

I just had to visit this iconic location, I have an enormous print of it in my office which I want to replace with one of mine.

I know some will find this too dark, tbh its really processed to be seen in print so dont know how it will appear (probably a black blob in the thumb). Oh and yes I wanted to capture the ghostly movement.

Probably the last upload for a few weeks as I have a week long work exhibition to prepare for.

Nice work from here Nick, like the movement and then the figure stationary as you say you wonder why the long stillness.

This is great! I love the slight movement of the people in motion, and the intriguing stationary girl.

Have similar myself Nick ( published in Travel POTY ) it is iconic. The young lady standing still is the perfect foil for all the activity about. Good luck with the print it will look stunning I'm sure.

Love it - especially the slight ghosting of some of the figures. The girl in the middle is wonderful.

I love the darkness which makes the pools of light and central character stand out even more. And we can see enough detail in the shadows without it being brighter.
