The image is very heavy, and I think could have the foreground and shadow areas lightened significantly by selection, a 50 pixel feather, then some lightening with the histogram. Alternatively, a bit of work with the dodging tool - care with that one though.

While the comp. is OK with good lead-in, I've done a mod with a suggested crop where it loses some from the RHS to put the target of the lead-in line on more of a third. "Rule"of thirds doesn't have to be used slavishly but it often helps, as in this case IMO

Yes it's drab, but you can pull something out of it - see my quick mod. I used a curve to selectively brighten the dark areas and daken parts of the sky a little bit (a gentle reverse S-shape) and then did as Paul suggests and dodged a bit of detail back into the bushes.

Just a few suggestions for you, hope it's some use. Don't be afraid to ask if you need more detailed info.
