The King is dead

The King is deadSo sad, but that is the circle of life. Just one critique and whilst the body is still fresh you may want to try it. I would use a smaller aperture such as F8 to make the whole of the bird in focus and crystal sharp. If you do do it, send me a private message so I can have see.

the old bird

the old birdYou can get much closer to a robin than this!

The branch in the foreground is annoying and playing a huge part in ruining the shot. Also the noise (grain) is quite bad too. Would be made much better if you abolished these two thing Smile

Having fun

Having funWhen I was in South Africa (and whenever I have been to Africa) I LOVED watching the elephants, especially the baby's. Great use of slow(er) shutter speed to get that motion effect (or was that by accident Wink ) I think I would of gone for a tighter crop but that's just me...

Great shot well done Smile

RoseI am gonna say this would be a very very good shot if the flower was sharper... maybe try taking the picture further away (because you look like you have gone closer than the min focusing distance) and then cropping it on your editing software, I know the 1100d only has 10mp so don't go too far away. Apart from the sharpness this is a perfect picture - the lighting is excellent.
Hope this helps next time,
