Jump Johanna, jump! + versions

By Drummerdelight
After showing my candid shot of this young girl to her parents (posted yesterday), I was asked if I 'd be willing to take an other photo of her jumping in front of the sea.
WoW, no hesitation at all!, yes indeed, what a great oppertunity for me to do this for them as they where so kind and greatfull. (and forgiving for taking a sneaky candid or twoTongue)

Even from 100 m away, one could see see whas very passionate about her 'hobby'. She jumped like her life depended on it, there was magic in the air!
Meanwhile I have learned that she started dancing at the age of two, my guess is that she is only 16 or 17 years young.

This mini photosession of two or three minutes (only two jumps) including a short chat and email exchange was much too short... pitty, if I 'd have a chance to repeat this, I 'd prefer less harsh light and a different POV - more like the candid, but then with her in the direction of the sea and if possible, with her face more visible... sigh...

As usual, I have experimented with different LR modifications, this for my learning experiance, but also for Johanna who deserves the best I can/could do!
V1 has more natural colors
V2 is a black and white version
V3 light sepia look

Thank you for looking and reading my story

Great photo! Don't think that I'd have the nerve to talk to folks like you have but this goes to show that it's definitely worth it.
I like Version 1 the best for it's stronger contrast.

Each has it's own merits. She is wonderfully athletic and graceful...maybe she will ask for a revisit in better surroundings SmileSmile

What a superb subject, Guy! A wonderfully dynamic shape has resulted from perfect timing and Johanna's athleticism. I'd love to have seen her facing you rather than the sea, but the circumstances were far from ideal.
Unusually for me, I prefer the colour, with a slight leaning towards V1.

Give my regards to Charlie Ron - I bought myself a blue crocodile "Trixon" kit like he used to play way back in the sixties! loving it!

No preference as I think all versions are superb-- each telling the story differently.

I am still fascinated to note how the sea supports this rather than distracts---!

I hope she and her parents are so pleased with these results that they get in touch with you so that you can have a proper shoot with her.

Terrific shot Guy, but I like the later landscape version better, more space as you say in your comments.
