No cycling trough the woods for a while

By Drummerdelight
Thank you for so many votes and comments for the image I posted yesterday!

I guess it was fate... yesterday I was about to take some photographs of two horses with their foals in a field nearby. I jumped over a small ditch, so far so good, but then just when I was about to tread the long grass and most of all, the nettles... for a low POV like I like to do...
I held on (with a good grip not to fall btw) to the fencing to keep balance - totally unexpected I got myself a good electric schock, fell backwards into the ditch and realy hurt my leg, knee and most of all my ankle. Somehow the fencing must have been in contact I with the electric wire keeping the horses in their field.TongueTongueTongue & Sad
A van stopped when they saw me sitting on the roadside (as white as the horse V1) to help me and then a neighboor drove me to the hospital. V2 = Nothing broken but nearly impossible to stand up or walk.
So, no walking, cycling or swimming for a while to my work in Bruges...

Cheers, happy to be alive but not kicking
Guy

What a shock, Guy! Not a pleasant experience. Take it easy - although I doubt you can do much else.

Couple days and you should be back in business---

I have always wondered what would happen if a camera met an electric fence?

Sorry, I've only just caught up with this set of images and your story. I very much like the set but the lead picture is sublime; the point of view works so well and results in a lovely composition. The effect is wonderful when viewed large. I hope that by now you are feeling much better and can enjoy walking and cycling again! Smile
