The Bridge Over the River Eye

I've recently been to the Cotswolds for a family celebration. I made the most of the nearby opportunities by taking a few walks out before most folk were about. This shady one is probably one of the less photographed bridges in Lower Slaughter.

lovely image very tranquil with nice lighting Grin
Love this spot and your capture of it. The bridge is so interesting... so many questions. I don't know the era in which it was built but the workmanship is so meticulous and beautiful!

These clapper bridges are usually fairly ancient. Where I live in the west country they're often slabs placed on top of stepping stones but this one looks as if it's been remade on dressed stones or maybe concrete. Thanks.
