Spooky Wood

By DTM
Wistman's Wood, the ancient upland oakwood on Dartmoor is a wonderful place but care needs to be taken inside as the fair folk, should you chance to meet them, will confuse you and lead you astray but not in a good way. You can wander for days before finding your way back to the path.

I went there yesterday but I could have sworn it was Monday when I set off.

Mono added as a version.

A wonderful location and a splendid tangle of rocks and stunted oaks. The lichen seems to merge the trees and boulders into one squirming whole.

Away with the fairies, David. Smile They've cast a bit of magic over this lovely place and youve captured the beauty with your camera.

I really do like the mono version, as for me it seems to capture the wayward nature of the fair folk that you allude to in your description! Grin It's one of those places that I keep meaning to get to, but never seem to get my bum in gear to actually do it!
