The Light at the End of the Tunnel

By ducatirider
A big passion of mine is street photography, which when done properly can be very powerful and thought provoking. Unfortunately, on most websites it's not as popular as it should be mainly due to it being predominantly B&W and the other being the size of the icons that attract viewers to the photo; Street photography is about the detail caught at that moment in time and really needs to be viewed full size to attract attention.

So over the next few weeks I have decided to upload some of my favourite street shots and see how it goes. Thanks for looking and any comments - Paul

If you've the time have a look through my N. Ireland Photos when I was a military photojournalist; the ultimate street shots

I Agree with what you say about street photography,
ive just started street myself and really enjoying it,
But like you say it dose,nt seem to be very popular on sites like this, So if you or anyone else knows of a site for street photography please let me know.

Great street shot, and it does take courage to do this, as a lot of people get really upset about their photos being taken, so good luck, and I look forward to seeing them

Fabulous work Paul with regard to the Upload and indeed the account of your tours in NI.... First class account of the Plight and Tension whilst serving in any "Theatre of Grief "and furthe hi ~ lights the Lads abroad at the Moment!
These guys are doing a fantastic job and "sometimes" it truly goes unappreciated by the public in the safety of their of their own homes.
Always looks like the soldiers are just beefing it up and dealing out oppression but the reality is they live their lives on a roulette table everytime they venture out on patrol to protect the civilian population from the beliefs of the minority....
Really touched a nerve Paul with the odd Memory
