Short blog: family day yesterday, and a lie-in this morning.
So there were pictures of granddaughter Della: and I’ve decided to take the more arty pictures that I failed to take of her father and his sister. At the time, I was too busy worrying about safety, and also wasn’t a good enough photographer. So it goes: and my advice to any parents is to enjoy every minute, because you’ll turn round and they’ll be worrying about leaving school (turn round twice and they’ll make you grandparents – Joni Mitchell had it right with The Circle Game).
And the point is that every decision means denying other possibilities: lying in bed means you’re not getting that lovely dawn picture of the hills and the mist. Make it a positive creative decision, because not to do so is to leave your life on Program mode, and you’ll miss the best, the most creative bits. Lie in when it’s grey and rainy.
Enough. Extra Della pictures should do today, no?
