Cutlery diversity

By dudler
The final product of my Bank Holiday Project - see yesterday and today's blogs for an explanation.

I knew that the output from the day's work would involve some of the diverse cutlery in the drawer immediately below the temporary still life set - I have a thing about collecting different knives, forks and spoons that are particularly suited to being used, and a deep fondness for certain examples, whether they are inherited, found abandoned, or bought from junk shops. Put it down to my position on the autistic spectrum...

Nice set of old knives, John, the sort one has to wash by hand and not in the dishwasher! Also best for spreading butter, jaq and Marmite (not together!!), And a super bit of glint on the blades.

I will have to curtail myself as I also have a fondness for old cutlery and could wax lyrical...

Instead I shall return to your blog later and leave a click to be going on with!

I have some of these too. My grandmothers old cutlery that I can still remember using as a child.

The look very well-used. You have captured them well, showing the usage on the handle and blade.

Memories from my childhood, assorted knives. The matching set only came out for Christmas and when guests came...

Oldschool knives, if not the eat period they do evoke thoughts of between the wars high teas. And Poirot is not too far away...
