I took Malc's comment and ran with that for the modification.

Hopefully you will give Carsten a poke to encourage him to put up his take on the day. ............ he and his images are missed here.

A screaming ISO here John, I do like Roys' hefty mod with the bleach bypass filter.

Was the high ISO to obtain grain in the final image? Actually, surprising little grain and fairly sharp. You do not explain why you were using this high rating.

Scary enough with your blue tones, but even more so with Kaybee's mod - her long fingers add to the fear factor.

I think it's a case she has just seen the photographer John...

Great image and the mods work really well.

Very scary indeed. I think I like the blues. She could be seeing the laboratory where all the bad experiments happen.

My fellow photographer had just said that 3,200 was too high to use... So, in the spirit of pushing things to the limit, I wound the ISO right up.

Now, this may not apply to female EPZ members, but I am sure that every male driver among us has redlined a car engine a few times for no terribly good reason. This is just the same: because I can turn it up to 11...

I like your reasoning for why the High ISO. "because I can" is an answer I have given many times for many things I have done.
It appears to me that because the blue is so rich in the image, chromatic noise seems to be hidden or appears as grain.

A smashing shot with no detrimental grain.
Not many places to wind the engine up over 100mph and the law is a bit iffy when you do!
