A very natural shot, I might suggest a crop from the bottom though. just until the little finger disappears seems about right for me.

nice one, but need i bit of modification. here is mine, i hope u like it.
the mod: tighter crop, higher contrast, BW, some play with the sharpening and masking, skin a bit modifiedand other small things. BTW i think that the focus point is a bit of, because the nose and the left eye is blury.

i suggest that the hand is one of the strong points in this photo so i would not crop it that tight. i know that it makes the face dominant but i think its not only about the face , but also about the gesture

I like it and I adree with Gubi,her face is strong enough to carry the image.

Thanks all - and I agree, the focus isn't right. I'd want it on the nearer eye.

The tighter crop is a matter of opinion, I think: perhaps it's a case of there being no one definitive "right" version? We tend to get hung up on "best" instead of accepting diversity. With pictures, there is sometimes a definitive right, and all other versions are less - but there aren't many of us who do it often! Ansel Adams, Bill Brandt, Henri Cartier-Bresson... And two of them did "versions" of old images through their lives!
