I've seen similar ink to this in the past, but my gosh it must hurt!
I read a really interesting research study once. It was a phenomenological study into the lived experiences that led to individuals opting to have a tattoo. Fascinating stuff. I'd enjoy doing a similar study - just to nosy at the reasons behind individual tattoo choices. I think there is likely an allied study in their related to tattoo's as part of the grieving process.
People are often surprised to learn that I have extensive tattoos. I guess I don't seem the type! Although until very recently every tattoo was not visible when wearing a short sleeved shirt - I started work when tattoos were frowned upon in professions (something that is slowly changing). Each of my tattoo's has meaning for me and I don't rule out having more in the future.
