Home - not colonial

All Hallows Eve will produce a good deal of silliness of various sorts: some harmless (despite the fears of fundamentalist Christians) and some unkind and threatening.

My own dream evening would involve Number Ten Downing Street, and when the PM opens his own door, yelling 'Test or Trace?' in his face.

Twelve years ago, I was in the USA in October, and there were pumpkins lined up in gardens and along the roadside. There was nothing approaching this lovely display, photographed at Calke Abbey last weekend. There's even a shadowy area under the roof: the light was absolutely lovely, but without strong shadows.

As though they are seated in a stadium grandstand, watching us.
Regarding Number Ten, I have a few evil thoughts of my own.
Your kidding, right?

This is actually the Ann Summers stock room I reckon GrinGrin

I fear you would receive more tricks than treats at the for of No 10 John.

Quite a election of these colourful veggies, I don'y think I have ever tasted any of them.

An amazing display of pumpkins.
Melbourne is being cautious due to Covid and therefore Halloween will almost be a non event.

There are some weird and wonderful things there.

Like all holidays and celebrations, Halloween has been taken over by the Colonies and the multi-national conglomerates

A fabulous 'old fashioned' display. No horror, blood, skulls or chain saws! I remember when we called it duck apple night............Spot on about No 10. My daughter went for a test three weeks ago....she still hasn't had the results!!!

A stunning display, John and very nicely photographed in all it's colourful splendor.
And there are certain MP's on both sides who deserve to have one of those long curly thing inserted.

There's a lot of soup to be had in them there gourds. Or are they squashes? or both Smile
The PM opening his own front door? i'm pretty sure we pay someone else to do that.
Did remind me of the Monster Mash.
Now everything's cool, Drac's a part of the band
And my Monster Mash is the hit of the land
For you, the living this mash was meant too
When you get to my door, tell them Boris sent you
