What a great image John and your right about the wide angle thing but can be great fun with say 10-20mm and shoot legs going to the edge of the frame.

I think you have really nailed it with this image, great job.

A case of less is more in this well lit and taken shot, John.

What you could call "giving the cold shoulder" A great pose, looking away from the camera, and nicely framed with the background.

I must say I'm astounded by what can be done remotely.
I feel it must be easier for the model to be uninhibited when posing
with this set up.

That's a really interesting point, Kate.

I'm sure it's easier for the model to feel safe: on the other hand, the 'chemistry' that sometimes leads to the very best pictures is harder to achieve. Remote, you're both relying on professionalism, rather than the sort of magic that some people have. The sort of thing that makes every shot mistere posts of Misuzu wonderful, for instance.

Imagine making new friends by video link, compared with in a cosy tea room or pub bar... And I'm not sure how models feel, but I am slightly inhibited in shooting, because of the slight lag - it's possible, sometimes, to end up taking a shot when the model's between poses, and when (if you were in the studio) you'd be looking away. It's not happened to me, so far, but I'm horribly aware of the possibility.

And for the models who are actually uninhibited (at least a few photographers will be able to name one or two), I suspect an audience is part of how it works...

You are right about wide angle lenses....camera alignment is critical..

Snd your process of shooting still amazes me.
