I like the opener, John; rather a lot, in fact.
Theoretically looking into the nostrils isn't ideal; however, the bridge of the nose leads to the eyes, and the eyes and hand combine to create the distant, soulful expression. The version is more directly intimate, almost challenging. Skin tone in both is superb.

I like the soft dreamy misty ambience in the lead image, John, and that's my preference. As mentioned above her droopy eye in the version is a bit "morning after" and not very flattering, tho the image does grow on you (me). While also a pleasant picture, Alfies brighter b&w mod loses the attractive ambience of your lead.

Lead image is lovely and beautifully taken. I don't see anything even remotely seductive in the version.
It's a very unflattering image and one I would probably have deleted. Strange, but not unusual, how different
people see things differently, sometimes even Very !.
