I can hear you all bemoaning the loss of great photo opportunities when I tell you my news!

Yesterday I returned home after lunching with my sister to find none other than the Naked Rambler standing at the cross-roads next to our house here in the depths of the countryside. He had a wee group of Newspeople around him but true to form he was to the front of the group providing a good view!! Glorious weather here of late but darned chilly, if you get my drift Tongue

This morning I woke, wondering what on earth my hubby was doing in the lounge. There were some thuds and bumps emanating from that quarter. Dragged myself through still half asleep to find myself gazing at a Tawny Owl! Never been this close to any Owl other than those in captivity. In the end we opened the French windows and when there was no sign of Tawny getting the message, George brought a large bath towel, gently covered our visitor in it and took it out through the open windows. It immediately flew off towards the steading looking not in the least concerned. We have an open fire in the lounge and this is the only way it could have got in, proved if required by the interesting little sooty marks left behind. Looks like between those and the poops left on carpet and upholstered chairs, I have plenty proof of the visit to clear away!
