A two hour movie, filmed at twenty four frames per second will contain 172,880 frames that the director can use to hold the viewers attention. Photography is different in that the end result is just one frame. If I can hold your attention for even two seconds then I consider myself doing well.

There are times when I take out the DSLR and seem to stick out like a sore thumb. Other times I will have the camera out and nobody seems to notice.
We took our six year old son to Brighton after school on a Friday so he could play on the beach and then we bought doughnuts on the pier. I had taken my camera with me on the chance I might find a subject for the Black and White Challenge group and seeing my camera, this gentleman seemed determined to pose and get me to take a photo of him.
Only too happy to oblige I just had to quickly manually focus as I had chosen a lens without a focus motor to use with my D5000.

Maybe you can put your hot dog down on it without the mustard staining the baize or perhaps it's a good table to give your friend a good canine (caning).
I haven't been in there but I would guess that they allow dogs in the pool room with a water bowl.
