Louis

By EddieAC
This is Louis. He is a very much loved new addition to the family and our first child.

He was born by C-Section after my wife developed high blood pressure and pre-eclampsia. This photo was taken while the surgeons were still finishing stitching the incision and after all necessary checks were carried out on baby.

He is a very much loved by all on both sides of the family.

I purchased a Nikon D7000 a few months ago and aside from a couple of initial test shots, this event was the first real use I had made from it. The high ISO capabilities of the camera proved very useful in allowing me to take noise free pictures in the operating theatre without using flash which could disturb and distract the surgeons/nurses.

Amazing capture. Great lighting and composition and very well presented. As a second opinion I personally would tight crop around mum and the baby's face to make this a powerful focal point as the image is exceptionally expresive. You may have a different opinion.

I know I am quite late but still... Congratulations to you and your wife for this absolutely cute addition to your family. I hope all is well and you enjoy your new family life.
The skin tones and composition are great - I wonder how cool you really are, to take such a perfect image in such an emotional moment! Smile
