Of the garden

By EddieAC
This is a photo that I took as a possible entry for the Black and White Challenge group but one I didn't use. I kind of like it anyway so thought I would upload it.

Our back garden had become quite overgrown and the grass as well as all these Dandelions had shot up quite a bit. Prior to dragging out the lawn mower I tried shooting through the overgrowth and just focussing on one Dandelion and I quite like the painterly sort of feel I ended up with.

Excellent use of aperture/focal length combination to isolate the flower head, which is well placed against a background of verticals. The high-key b&w is very well handled. Nice work.
